The unofficial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds is one of the UK's fastest growing cities and has the most diverse economy of the all the UK's main employment centres, with fast-growing digital, fintech and medical sectors, alongside major academic and economic institutions. This has attracted several large firms and organisations to the city, with Leeds now home to the UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), alongside the Bank of England, First Direct, Channel 4, Burberry, DLA Piper and so much more.

The city has a strong track record of investment and development, with over £4 billion worth of large-scale development projects over the last 10 years and over 17,000 new homes built over the past five years (1.5% of England’s overall housing supply). This is set to continue with an exciting pipeline of future development comprising multiple major infrastructure projects including investment in Leeds City Station and a mass transit network, alongside the Leeds Transformational Regeneration Partnership - a 10-year programme of change and investment involving the council, central government, Homes England and the West Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
